Pop Alma's Intoxicating new hit, "BLOODSTREAM.", is the single of the summer

“BLOODSTREAM.” is the latest release from New Jersey based band Pop Alma. The jolting new single lures listeners in with its themes of lovesick madness and mania. The obsession driven lyrics and dismantled melody have proven to be a hit with fans on Pop Alma’s latest tour “Summer Bash”.

The band sat down with Arbel to talk about the inspiration behind “BLOODSTREAM.” and goals for their musical impact.

When it came to the creative process for this new single, Pop Alma members discussed how the approach they took was a bit different from past projects. Jacob Rubiani shared “We really wanted to touch on the ideas of lust, passion, and obsession in a way that still feels true to our band’s roots in Alternative music”

Harley Von Pierce talked about how the single was a collaboration between members saying “I thought it was pretty okay as a vibey calm song but we had been talking about experimenting with more heavy sounds being blended into our writing so I figured that would be the song I "frankensteined" with more of my taste”

When asked about what the hope had been for the single being released prior to the “Summer Bash” tour, Pop Alma shared the strategy behind the release date.

Jacob: “Releasing it before the tour just seemed to be the right approach, this time around. We really wanted people to hear the new song, and this just gives us more of a reason to celebrate together. I’m hoping it connects with our fans, as I know it’s a weird change in our sound. I’m also hoping it could even open the door for people who aren’t so heavily involved in the Alternative scene to listen in and want to be included”

Harley: “Really we just want people to latch onto it. We're planning more for the future and if people really gravitate to it, we can expand on it”

“BLOODSTREAM.” certainly caught the attention of fans and newcomers alike along the Bands tour. We at Arbel can’t stop listening to the single on repeat and we are keeping our eyes and ears peeled for more music from Pop Alma.
